Night Club training boosts Transport for London’s fatigue management programme
Transport for London partnered with Night Club to support the health and performance of its shift-based teams through a targeted sleep and wellbeing programme, as part of its wider fatigue management strategy. The pan-TfL fatigue management programme, covering approximately 29,000 directly employed colleagues, sets clear standards across the organisation – and our training was designed to bring those standards to life in a practical, people-focused way.
Working across a range of operational roles, we delivered practical, science-led training designed to help staff better manage fatigue, improve sleep quality and build sustainable routines around demanding schedules. The sessions combined expert insight with realistic, easy-to-apply strategies – equipping teams with tools they could immediately use both at work and at home.
Our approach focused on the real challenges of shift work, from irregular hours to disrupted circadian rhythms, offering tailored guidance that felt relevant, accessible and non-judgemental. By creating space for open conversation and shared experiences, the training also helped normalise discussions around fatigue and wellbeing – an important step in building a healthier workplace culture.
Early feedback highlights improved awareness of sleep health, stronger engagement around wellbeing, and a clearer sense that TfL is investing in its people.
