For millions of people working outside the traditional 9–5, sleep is a constant challenge. Whether it’s night shifts, rotating schedules, early starts or late finishes, working against the body’s natural rhythms can have a profound impact on health, performance and wellbeing. Yet most mainstream sleep advice simply doesn’t account for the realities of shift work.
That’s where Night Club ONLINE comes in – an evidence-based, interactive training experience designed specifically to support shift workers in managing sleep and fatigue in a world that isn’t built for them.
The hidden cost of working against the clock
Shift and night work are essential to keeping society running, from healthcare and logistics to transport and emergency services. But the cost can be significant. Research consistently shows that non-standard working hours are linked to:
Reduced alertness and slower decision-making
Increased risk of accidents and errors
Higher levels of absenteeism and burnout
Long-term impacts on physical and mental health
Fatigue isn’t just about feeling tired – it’s a critical safety and performance issue. For organisations, it can directly affect productivity, staff retention and operational risk. For individuals, it can impact everything from mood and relationships to long-term wellbeing.
Despite this, many workers are left to figure out their own coping strategies, often relying on advice that simply doesn’t fit their reality.
A smarter approach to sleep support
Night Club ONLINE is a 90-minute live, interactive workshop built with one goal: to give shift workers practical, realistic tools they can actually use.
Developed using research from the University of Oxford and insights from more than 14,000 night workers, the programme translates complex sleep science into simple, actionable strategies. It’s not about ideal routines that are impossible to maintain, it’s about what works in real life.
Each session is delivered by expert facilitators from backgrounds including sleep science, clinical psychology and cognitive behavioural therapy. With thousands of staff already trained across sectors such as healthcare, logistics, engineering and hospitality, the programme has a strong track record of impact.
What makes it different?
Unlike generic sleep training, Night Club ONLINE is tailored specifically for the challenges of shift work. The sessions are:
Interactive and engaging – encouraging discussion, reflection and peer learning
Delivered in small groups (max 12) – creating a safe space for sharing and participation
Practical and realistic – focused on strategies that can be applied immediately
Evidence-based – grounded in the latest science
What participants learn
The curriculum is designed to give a complete, yet accessible, understanding of sleep and fatigue, with a strong emphasis on practical application. We cover:
Sleep Science introduction – explanation of circadian rhythms and the sleep-wake cycle.
Light – understanding the impact on sleep of different parts of the light spectrum, how to manage exposure to blue and red light to feel more energetic and to prepare for sleep.
Sleep environment – creating a bedroom environment which is conducive for sleep (e.g. noise, temperature, distractions, comfort).
Chronotype – identifying personal chronotype (e.g. morning / intermediate / evening type) and learning how to work in sync with this.
Diet and exercise – understanding what and when to eat and exercise for good sleep. Including advice on impacts of caffeine/stimulants, healthy snacks, meal planning and realistic exercise to incorporate in your life.
Mental health – understanding the connection of sleep to low mood, racing thoughts and anxiety. Menu of approaches to address this including distraction, meditation and accessible psychology techniques to process worries.
Personal action planning – developing a consistent bedtime routine and action plan.
A people-focused experience
Individuals gain a lot from the Night Club ONLINE experience. Participants leave with:
A clearer understanding of how their body works
Practical tools they can implement immediately

Each attendee also receives an activation pack delivered to their door prior to the session, including a workbook, sleep tips, recipes for shift workers, stress management techniques, and even a healthy snack and tea to support the experience.
Benefits for organisations
By equipping staff with the tools to manage their energy and wellbeing, organisations can expect:
Improved alertness and performance on shift
Reduced fatigue-related risk and errors
Enhanced employee wellbeing and engagement
Better retention in hard-to-staff roles
In industries where safety, precision and reliability are critical, these benefits can make a measurable difference.
Who it’s for
Night Club ONLINE is designed for anyone working outside standard daytime hours, including:
Night shift workers
Early starters
Late finishers
Rotating schedule employees
Its cross-sector relevance makes it suitable for teams across healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, transport, retail and more.
Why it matters now
As workplaces continue to evolve, supporting employee wellbeing has never been more important. For shift-based workforces, sleep is one of the most powerful – and often overlooked – levers for improving performance, safety and quality of life.
Night Club ONLINE recognises that better sleep isn’t just about getting more hours. It’s about understanding the body, working with it rather than against it, and making small, sustainable changes that add up over time.
For organisations and individuals alike, it’s a smarter, more human approach to tackling fatigue – and building healthier, more resilient teams.
